Interactive Website Tracks Global Pesach Seder Network

With 650 bochurim heading out on Merkos Shlichus this Pesach to conduct sedorim across the globe, a state of the art website – www.rovingrabbis.com  has been setup to track the students and inform locals of seder times and locations.

Originally designed for Merkos’ summer visitations, the site now caters to Jews searching for a nearby Pesach seder. Roving Rabbis also allows friends and relatives of the bochurim to follow them on their exciting journeys, as the site will regularly be updated with stories and photo galleries from the road. The site also offers supporters the opportunity to donate to the cause, while giving them a glimpse into the “life on the ground” for Merkos Shluchim.

“Each year tens of thousands of Jews in all sorts of rural and urban areas are touched by these visits, yet the community remains largely unaware of the incredible scope of their efforts,” says Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky. “Following them as they go; reading their stories, and seeing the positive affects on others allows one to better appreciate the far reaching gains of Merkos Shlichus.”

“The interactive map is an exciting part of the site,” says Rabbi Schneur Najar, who coordinates the program along with Rabbi Mendel Kotlarsky. “It allows people the opportunity to find a rabbi close to home, or perhaps for relatives to inform the rabbis of a local Jew they may have otherwise missed.”
