Season of Regional Kinusim in the U.S. Begins

Shluchim are slated to arrive in Staten Island, NY on Sunday from across the state of New York and the New England region, to assemble for the annual regional conference of Chabad Shluchim hosted this year by Rabbi Moshe Katzman and his wife.

The meeting, which will last until Monday, is expected to bring Shluchim together from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island and New York. The program will consist of workshops, discussions and seminars dedicated to various topics related to the work of the Shluchim.

“The Rebbe personally requested that we set up these Kinussim Eizorim, so that every Shliach receives personal attention and care. The conferences continue to be essential tools for the Shluchim, who learn of new ideas and glean advice from their colleagues’ experiences and difficulties in their Shlichus” says Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, vice chairman of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch and the director of the Regional Kinussim as appointed by the Lubavitcher Rebbe. “Each year the committee works to improve the conferences, both physically and spiritually, for the benefit of the Shluchim.”

The conference is one of five others that will take place in united state in the upcoming months. The next one, a 3-day conference for Shluchim in the Western Region, will begin on Friday, June 3rd in Denver, Colorado. Emissaries from Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Washington and Wyoming will be hosted by Rabbi Israel Engel and his wife.
