In what promises to be an unprecedented event in Chabad Summer Camp history, an international rally, bringing together Chabad House summer camps from across the globe, is currently in the planning stages. 12,000 children from summer camps worldwide are expected to participate, in what is due to be a most inspirational and entertaining display of Jewish unity.
It was the theme of Hakhel that inspired camp directors to launch this project, and the dedicated staff at CKids – under the guidance of Rabbis Moshe and Mendy Kotlarsky, Vice Chairman of Merkos and Director of Suite 302, respectively – were only too keen to take up the initiative.
The 30-minute program will include camp representatives reciting the Yud-Beis Pesukim, live entertainment from renowned performerChaim Fogelman, and prizes being raffled off for all the rally’s participants. The event will be chaired by Rabbi Yaakov Kaplan.
“We are extremely excited for this rally,” said Mrs. Rivkah Sternberg, Shluchah to Cote S. Luc, Montreal. “The knowledge that they are participating in an event together with children from across the county, brings a real buzz to our local campers and helps promote a strong sense of Jewish unity.”
The rally will take place on Tuesday 6th of Tammuz, July 12th at 1:30pm
