The Arts Fest that comes to Penn State University hosts 125,000 people for a celebration of the arts. For Rabbi Nosson Meretsky of Chabad Penn State, this is an opportunity to meet with students and alumni and share some Yiddishkeit.
Besides setting up a table with Tefillin and Jewish material, Rabbi Meretsky lets attendees know that they can come over to enjoy an authentic Shabbos at his Chabad House. He also invites people to a Sunday evening barbecue. After the weekend, a lot of alumni stop by to have some good kosher meat and connect with other Jewish alumni before they go home.
