Spanning 8 locations around the world, MyShliach – a division of Merkos 302, has united Yaldei Hashluchim online for their very own regional Farbrengen in preparation for Gimmel Tammuz.
Like a wave across the world, excitement builds slowly, first in the Oriental Countries Region – in Japan, then China, Thailand to the Alpine Countries region – Switzerland, Italy and France, to many more regions across America like Arkansas, Memphis, Aspen, Phoenix and finally California. In each of these locations as the hour of their “Regional Farbrengen” nears, the local Yaldei Hashluchim tune into their computers and turn on their microphones.
Bouncing off the spirit of MyShliach’s Regional Shabbatons for Yaldei Hashluchim this year, children came together to participate in their respective regional farbrengen and reunion to bond, share stories and prepare for Gimmel Tammuz.
During the program, the boys said Pesukim, listened to greeting from Shluchim who were their host at their Regional Shabbaton, heard stories and were treated to a special Baal Minagen as they sang Niggunim led by Reb Benny Friedman.
Rabbi Motti Wilhelm from the Pacific Northwest region expressed importance to prepare for Gimmel Tammuz and remember the unique care and importance the Rebbe had for the Children as being the foot soldiers to bring Moshiach. At the Farbrengens, the boys made a joint Hachlata to start or strengthen their learning of Sefer Hamitzvos, a precious Hoira’a the Rebbe would encourage all Jewish children around the world to unite in.
“On the evening of Koach Sivan” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, executive Director of Merkos 302, “the Yaldei Hashluchim showed their Koach with true achdus. Though they may live far apart, they are connected to one another, and that connection is now stronger than ever.”
All in all, 250 Yaldei Hashluchim spanning 12 Countries, 23 States and 97 cities were included in bringing a tremendous Achdus and a unique sense of belonging to these Shluchim living in remote areas.
Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, vice chairman of Merkos Li’Inyonei Chinuch, joined the Farbrengen sharing words of inspiration. “You are living examples,” relates Rabbi Kotlarsky. “Through your acts of Chesed, you not only demonstrate what The Rebbe taught us, but you are living examples of what a Shliach really is. You are preparing the world for Moshiach.”
MyShliach would like to thank the Bochurim who helped arrange and chaperone the regional Shabbatons as well as organize the online Farbrengens. As one parent from Northern California put it: “Thank you very much for the time and effort. It was very nice, and we would love to see it as a Peulah Nimsheches”
