Crown Heights Mobilizes to Host and Assist Shluchos for Upcoming Kinus

As thousands of Shluchos from around the world prepare to arrive in Crown Heights for the International Kinus Hashluchos, the legendary community is once again stepping up to ensure they feel welcomed and supported. With a record number of attendees expected this year, the need for assistance is greater than ever.

The largest gathering of Jewish women is set for 22-25 Shevat (February 20-23, 2025), bringing together the heroic women who juggle countless roles including—educators, administrators, life coaches, and community leaders—but above all, mothers. Many Shluchos arrive with infants or young children, creating a significant demand for reliable babysitters. Local girls, ages 13 and up, can apply, and those accepted will be compensated. Interested applicants can apply Here or contact babysitting@kinus.com for more details.

Each year, Crown Heights residents selflessly open their homes—from Tishrei guests and CTeen to CYP and the Pegisha, and of course the Kinus Hashluchim and Shluchos. With this year’s Kinus drawing unprecedented attendance, the need for accommodations is especially pressing. Community members willing to host can reach out to Helpdesk@kinus.com

“Growing up and living in Crown Heights, we see firsthand the incredible warmth and generosity of our community, which plays an integral role in the Rebbe's Shlichus throughout the year,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Director of the International Conference of Shluchos. “There’s no other community like this in the world.”
