CKids Camp Directory Goes Live, Connecting Staff with Shlichus Opportunities

This year’s CKids Camp Directory has officially launched allowing CGI camp directors and counselors to easily connect and plan their summers effectively.

For camp directors like Rifka Wineberg, staffing a successful camp can be a challenge. "We found quite a few staff members last year because of the CKids Camp Directory. We received many inquiries from both boys and girls," says Wineberg, director of Lubavitch Day Camp Manchester, girls' division. With camps relying on committed, energetic staff, this platform has become a game-changer for filling those roles.

Now officially launched, the CKids Camp Directory serves as a centralized resource, connecting potential counselors with Gan Israel Day Camps worldwide. The platform, spearheaded by Rabbi Sholom Block, Shliach in Plano, Texas, provides a clear, structured way for camps to list essential details—including camp duration, age requirements, and accommodation and transportation information—so staff can easily find the right fit.

“At CKids, we strive to create solutions for Shluchim on the ground,” says Rabbi Zalmy Loewenthal, Director of CKids International at Merkos 302. “The CKids Camp Directory makes it easier for camps to find dedicated staff and for counselors to secure meaningful Shlichus opportunities cutting out countless hours of unnecessary work.”

With over 170 camps listed, the directory has helped thousands of staff members secure meaningful Shlichus opportunities in recent years. To further ensure accessibility, hard copies of the directory have been distributed to all girls' high schools, making it easier for students to explore their options.

“The Rebbe constantly emphasized the tremendous positive impact summer camp can have on a child,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302. “By simplifying the process of finding the right staff, we’re helping Shluchim direct their energy where it matters most—on the campers and their experience.”

With the directory now live, aspiring staff members can easily find the right camp without the stress of searching on their own, freeing them to focus on their studies while securing a meaningful summer role. Being a counselor is a chance to inspire the next generation, shape the future of Jewish life, and bring the Rebbe’s vision to reality. The CKids Camp Directory ensures camps and staff are well-matched, setting both up for a successful and impactful summer.
