Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky
Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky (b. Feb 11, 1982) is a Jewish dynamic leader advancing Chabad's global mission to reach "Every Jew Everywhere." As executive director of Merkos 302 and the International Conference of Shluchim, and appointed by Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch (Chabad Headquarters) to drive Chabad’s global growth and expansion, he has launched impactful programs like CTeen, CKids, CYP, and Chabad on Call, addressing key challenges such as antisemitism, intermarriage, and medical care while fostering Jewish identity in 111 countries. Under the guidance of his father, Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky — who spent over 50 years building the Chabad global network — Rabbi Mendy works closely with Chabad's central committee and visionary partners to champion a "Judaism on the offense" approach. This forward-thinking strategy emphasizes Jewish pride, education, and empowerment, inspiring Jews at all stages of life to actively embrace their heritage and shape a vibrant Jewish future. - Algemeiner J100
Merkos 302
Rabbi Kotlarsky established Merkos 302 in 2004 as a backbone organization and R&D department for Chabad’s network of 4,000 institutions. The office culls best practices from Chabad's unparalleled brain trust of on-the-ground local leaders and streamlines them for global use; develops innovative new programs; and provides central resources and support to the network of Chabad representatives, enabling them to expand their reach and maximize their collective impact.
Chabad Lubavitch's centers support Jewish communities and individuals in every corner of the globe, in all 50 states and more than 110 countries.
In 2010, under Rabbi Kotlarsky’s leadership, Merkos 302 launched the Global Jewish Youth Initiative, creating unprecedented focus and opportunities for the demographic frontier of Chabad’s outreach. The initiative now includes the Chabad Children's Network (CKids), the Chabad Teen Network (CTeen), and Chabad Young Professionals International (CYP).
